Derick E. Jones is a native Charlottean, and the great-grandson of well-known local construction visionary - J.A. Jones.
In 1990 he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University and embarked upon a 14 year career in sales and financial services, including a 5 year store management position with NC-based Lowe's.
Derick finally returned to his family's deep roots in the construction business and joined forces with partner Jamie Lawrence in the Da Vinci Design Group. His forte is new business development and managing the computer driven design division of the firm, specializing in 3-D "walk-through's" for clients, prior to construction.
Derick is a Licensed General Contractor, a member of the Awards Committee of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), is a Member of the Board of the Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club, an OPRAY Youth Sports Coach and Captain of the Queen City Tennis Team.
He married his college sweetheart in 1992 and they enjoy raising their two very active children. As a fourth generation builder, Derick strives to restore and retain what his family has helped create over the past century in Charlotte, through maintaining historic neighborhoods, improving others and striving for architectural integrity in every design he undertakes.
